Sleep deprivation is a common sleep disorder which is reaching an alarming rate in United States. Scientific studies has proven that the human mind and body requires an adequate sleep of six to eight hours everyday. The proper amount of sleep helps to restore memory, concentration, mental, emotional and physical abilities. There can be several factors that can lead to such a disorder, including too much caffeine, drugs, stress and emotional or hormonal problems. Some people used to blame it on tea but this happens to be a false conception. Teas are really healthy and organic ones like organic white tea and organic rooibos tea aid to fight off the fatigue due to lack of sleep.
There can be several types of sleep disorders and causes may also be different in every case. Although, the effects are always hazardous and sometimes equal the effect of being drunk. A person, after several days and week without proper sleep might act strangely and badly. They are not able to do well, both at work and socially.
There are many sleep disorders which are actually incurable without much dosage of relaxants and sleep inducing medicines. Yet, sometimes changing your lifestyle can play a very important role in fighting off the problem. Here are few tips that can help you in getting an uninterrupted and complete cycle of sleep. These points are not only for the patients already affected by the disorder but will also help in preventing sleep deprivation rather than cure it.
• First of all, try to set a proper and regular waking up and sleeping time. This will help you get in an automatic cycle. Remember when your body follows a regular timetable, the mind itself starts working as an alarm clock.
• Work out few hours before your sleeping time will stimulate and energize your mind and body. This might prevent you from falling to sleep at a proper time. It is better to postpone the workout session for early hours of the next day. Exercising will make you energized when you actually need to be asleep.
• Coffee and tea are helpful in wearing off the whole day’s fatigue but its a good thing if you are exhausted near the bedtime. Caffeine and nicotine must not be consumed when your bed time is near.
• It is okay to be tired before sleeping to bed doesn’t mean you should do extra stressful and tiresome work before going to sleep. Otherwise, that will be exactly like exercising and might make you more alert rather than dizzy.
• If you are already having problems in falling asleep at night, eliminate all the day time naps from your schedule. And if you really want one, just go a for an instant power nap once in a day.
• Keep from stuffing too much food, especially junk, before bed time. A digestive system busy in work might prevent you from falling asleep. If you really feel hungry, then go for food with higher fiber content.
• A shower anytime can make you feel refreshed but a warm bath by the end of the day can help relax your body from stress and fatigue. This makes it easier to simply fall into a complete sleeping position.

Natural herbs have been utilized by the human race for their beneficial properties since the era of cavemen. Our ability to discover ways that plants, herbs and chemicals can help us has perhaps caused evolutionary leaps that have made us the most powerful species on Earth. Energy drinks are the latest trend in this consistent struggle to exploit our natural surroundings for ways to improve our lives. While teas such as organic white tea have been used for a long time, innovative herbs such as organic rooibos tea or tea with guarana have been shown to have beneficial effects on people who take them due to their large amounts of anti-oxidants.
There’s no doubt that having tea has a number of beneficial effects. But one of the ingredients in tea is caffeine, which is very rarely good for you and should only be taken in small doses. In today’s society, however, caffeine has become increasingly prevalent, and it’s socially acceptable to drink a dangerous amount of caffeine daily.
Products that stunningly large amounts of caffeine are currently available. Coffee, of course, is the most popular choice for those looking to get themselves up in the morning, or stay up a few extra hours before bed. A recent development in the world of caffeine has been energy drinks such as Red Bull. While these products are marketed as being beneficial for your health due to the presence of healthy herbs like guarana and taurine, the major effect the body feels from these drinks arises from the high content of caffeine contained in the liquid.
These drinks were originally sold in small cans, then a slightly larger bottled version was released. Now, a double-sized can is being marketed, along with “shots” of these drinks, that are a concentrated mix, fitting the level of caffeine in a normal can into a tiny bottle.
The effects these drinks have for those who choose to drink them can be quite serious, and nothing like the natural beneficial effects that can be felt with natural drinks. But this isn’t the first time such a product has been released. In the ‘90’s, a drink known as Jolt Cola became popular among those who wanted to stay up all night, either working as computer hackers or students who needed to study for a test. Of course, like any drug that hypes up the body in the way caffeine does, there is a serious “crash” effect which occurs. This is similar to the “crash” of any amphetamine type drug, in which the body has pushed itself to high levels of energy, and must now make up for it by shutting down and recuperating.
While the effects of natural herbs that come from tea are highly recommended, more concentrated drugs like energy drinks and coffee should be taken with caution, and although it’s quite common, drinking these unnatural products every day can seriously damage your health. If you ever start to notice yourself feeling sick, shaky or disorientated after drinking too much of these kinds of drinks, contact your doctor immediately. And of course, if you’ve become pregnant, don’t risk the lives of you and your baby by drinking heavily caffeinated drinks.
